The Gardena Pass/Grödner Joch awaits beginners and families with an easy via ferrata on the Cirspitze V
To climb a via ferrata is very popular. If you’ve never done this before, the Cir V on the Cir peaks is the perfect place for you. Thanks to a short approach, the starting point is quickly accessible on food (due to a 40 minute walk from the Gardena Pass) or by using a cable car.
With its 150 meters of altidute, the small Cirspitze has a manageable length to gain experience in this new sport without time pressure. Nevertheless, some tricky climbing sections are waiting for you on your way to the top.
As mentioned before, this via ferrata is also suitable for families. Children from 8 years have already the physical ability to manage a via ferrata, and , if things don’t work out, an emergency exit can be used halfway along the route.
The person leaving the group can enjoy the panorama from a small platform where she will be waiting for us. I will then pass by on the descent with the rest of the group and we can walk the rest of the way together.
After the via ferrata, you can reviewing your achievements at the Dantercepies Bar and admiring the panorama of the Alpe die Siusi, the Plattkofel and the entire Sella massif.
