There are several ski tours for beginners around Val Gardena and the Alpe di Siusi. The ski tour to the Roascharte and the one to the Tierser Alpl stand out in particular. The tour described here can be tackled from several different starting points. Depending on your fitness level or ability, the ski tour for beginners can be extended or shortened. If you have a ski pass, you can start the tour from the top station of the Col Raiser lift on the Seceda. This gives us enough time to improve our technique or admire the nature of the Puez Geisler Nature Park.
After the lift ride, the trail leads us gently uphill into the Roa Valley to climb higher over hilly or domed terrain. The tour then takes us in a wide arc to the left to the saddle. Once you reach the Roascharte, you can also climb to the summit on foot. The ascent is not difficult and is perfectly feasible for beginners. In this sense, the backcountry tour can even be extended with a short, easy climb. There are also several options for the descent. On the one hand, of course, via the ascent route or a somewhat steeper, shorter direct descent. For experienced mountaineers, we even have the option of adding a short, steep gully to the ski tour and incorporating it into the program.
Fit ski tourers can add an excursion into the Antersactal. The way back is via the Roa Valley and the ski slopes down to S. Cristina. The start via Daunei near the Vallunga can also be considered.
