Long, enjoyable alpine climbing tour via the easy normal route on the Odle peaks in Val Gardena valley.
The Val Gardena valley is a famous alpine climbing area in the Dolomites Mountain region. As a mountain guide, I love climbing on the Grande Fermeda and the Puez-Odle Nature Park, because this area offers many alpine climbing tours away from the noisy roads.
After a ride with the Col Raiser cable car, we find ourselves in the middle of the Puez-Odle Nature Park. A quick 50 minutes hike brings us to the foot of the Grande Fermeda wall. The ascent can be done with comfortable approach shoes, it is also suitable for fit beginners or alpine aspirants. The grade of this alpine climbing tour is IV on UIAA scale.
With a wall height of 500m, all climbers can expect a full day in the mountains, this means: best rock conditions, manageable climbing difficulties, a good belay and a great panoramic view of the Dolomites Mountain region. A full day of enjoyment!
After a rest on the summit, the descent takes place along the ascent route, which can be used as abseil slope. Our tour ends by hiking back across the so called „Ncisles“ plain.
