The I Droc is an ice climbing tour for experts and advanced ice climbers. A magnificent atmosphere and a fantastic waterfall, this is what the Langental valley in the Dolomites has to offer. Ideal conditions to spent a day on a frozen waterfall with a local mountain guide.
With a length of 340m, this ice climbing route alternates between difficult and easier pitches. Right at the beginning of the tour, at the large pillar, the ice climber is already confronted with the upcoming challenges. What’s more, this waterfall is partly exposed to the sun and therefore not always climbable in late winter.
The way back is done by abseiling on the ascent route. To guarantee an enjoyable day with sufficient time, an early start is necessary on this ice climbing tour.
I am not only organising but also leading the I Droc tour in the Langental valley personally. As a certified IFMGA mountain guide it is my goal to realize your ideas as best I can.
