Come along and experience your personal Dolomites ski tour along the old front line of the First World War. Our World War tour in the Dolomiti Superski area is the largest ski tour in the Dolomites. The Dolomiti Superski area is one of the largest interconnected ski areas in the world. The ski area is certainly also famous for the well-known Sellaronda. A ski tour around the Sella massif. However, there are also the superlatives of this popular adventure.
The Warrior Tour, also known as the World War tour or Giro della Grande Guerra, is the biggest tour that can be completed in one day. Good skiing skills for black slopes and a good basic level of fitness are required. On the mountain hunter tour, we cover 82 km. Of these, 31km are pure downhill runs. The ski areas of Val Gardena, Arabba, Marmolada, Civetta, Cinque Torri and Corvara are visited or crossed in one day. This means one day of skiing from 8:30-17 hrs.
The name Gebirgsjägertour itself comes from the historical events of the First World War. The front line between the Italian Alpini and the mountain troops of the Austro-Hungarian Empire also ran along the route. You can still see the positions and cannon embrasures from that time in the Cinque Torri area and on the Lagazuoi.
It goes without saying that you will not miss out on the stunning panoramic views on the Lagazuoi or Porta Vescova during the mountain hunters’ tour. In addition, the highest mountains in the Dolomites are also explored during the ski tour on the Kriegerrunde. This does not mean that we climb the mountains. However, it is always impressive to ski below the Civetta or the Sassolungo. In addition, the descent from Lagazuoi is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful in the entire ski area of the Dolomites.
The tour is also suitable for groups of up to 6 people. The Superskipass is not included in the price.
Information on purchasing the Superskipass can be found here
